It's all over folks

Yes, the final whistle has been blown and everyone is celebrating another great week here in Canberra. The weather was very kind, even hot today for Canberra in July. 18's final was a boring event - again to penalties, but well managed by Nick and Co infront of a appreciative Refereeing group of about 20 interstate, including Ben Wilson (FIFA AR 2006 WC) and Alyson Flynn (FIFA AR).

I was wingman for Norm at Woden Enclosed and we had a great day, lots of good referees and some quality football. No issues, happy winners and Adam and Co on the U14's Cup were all about being professional and colourful in their yellow strip.

Post games, everyone were comparing notes on the day back at Ref HQ and Adam thanked everyone for their efforts. Discussion about a refs match at 11am Saturday may eventuate, but it seems unlikely with most everyone leaving early and no prior arrangements.

Going to bed - post more in the coming days about the tournament and its future......
