Finals Day

Hey there Kanga Cup Referee followers,

Just after 7am and most of the 9am final referees at munching down on bacon and toast, nervously discussing what instructions to give and how to control their nerves. It's brilliant to see experienced referees and newbies looking pale and not being able to eat a full breakfast whilst they think about what the next few hours will bring for their match.

I'm off to coordinate at Woden Enclosed with Norm and wish the best for John, Charlie, Tarren and Adam and their support teams today.

Everyone who was appointed was a deserved selection, based both on merit on and off the field as is the Kanga Cup way. If you didn't get a appointment today, you should take that as a sign that performance over 2 halfs isn't always enough in life and you need to be more consistent in everything you do.

As I heard a FIFA AR say recently,
"Percertion isn't everything, its the only thing"
